Pastor Tim Stobbe

Tim was born and raised in a loving Christian home in Abbotsford, B.C. Canada. After storming the castle, slaying the dragon and rescuing his bride, Tina, they began their journey together in the fall of 1996. He graduated with a B.A. in Leadership and Ministry from Alberta Bible College with studies at Columbia Bible College and ministry experience with a short-term mission agency, Venture Teams International (VTI) contributing to the degree. Before coming to WayPoint in 2001, Tim and Tina served with VTI in the discipling and training of new team members for a little over 3 years in Calgary, AB. Tim and Tina are enjoying life here on the Key Peninsula with their 2 children. Tim’s favorite part of serving as the pastor at WayPoint Church is seeing people continue to make steps closer to Jesus. Having a staff that laughs at his jokes is pretty good too. Tim also writes occasional ponderings on his blog -3rd Timothy. To read his blog CLICK HERE.

Mark was raised in a small town in Northwest Kansas.  At 17, he decided to follow Jesus and become a minister.  Mark and Anna Klingler met in Nebraska at Summit Christian College in 2003 and married in 2005.  Before moving to Washington, Mark ministered in various positions throughout the Midwest. In 2012, Mark’s family moved to Washington to be an intern and learn from Evergreen Church in Bothell.  To support his church habit, Mark worked as a CNC machinist for four years making precision parts for airplanes and subsea flow control.  Mark and Anna have four children. Elizabeth is 8, Lyla is 7, Josiah is 5 and Judah is 3. They love to have people over and invite them into “Klingler culture”.

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at WayPoint.

Life’s an adventure…let’s share in the journey together!

At WayPoint Church we want to share more than just a pew; we want to share life!  A lot happens between Sundays and we believe a good way to stay connected is through small groups that meet in homes throughout the week.  At WayPoint we call these groups Home Flocks.
More than just a Bible study, a Home Flock is a group of people who are ready to pray with you, lend a helping hand, and enjoy life with you. There is a Home Flock that meets almost every day of the week.  Each has its own personality and offers a study that is unique to the group. Fill out a CONNECT CARD to let us know you want to find a Home Flock and we’ll contact you.

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of our church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

“Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39).  Jesus told his followers that this command is right up there with loving God.  In fact, loving our neighbors is one way we show our love for God.At WayPoint Church we want to love our community–the Key Peninsula–through service.  We want to serve our community in big ways and small.  Whether it’s a planned event like Vacation Bible School our Candy Carnival in October or just being the type of neighbors who look out for others, we want to follow Jesus’ example of servanthood.

Here at WayPoint we want to effectively impact children for their entire lives. On a Sunday morning you’ll find the youngest children playing in our nursery, Preschoolers enjoying their own class and kindergarteners through fifth graders sitting with their families during worship and then going off to DiscipleTown as they learn about God in a fun and engaging way.
On Monday nights from 6:30-8:30pm all Middle School and High School Students are invited to join us as we hang out, have fun, and learn more about following Jesus!
Don’t miss out on other events throughout the year such as our Winter Camp in February and Summer Camp right here on the Peninsula. Click HERE to go to the website for more information.
Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions. WayPoint Church supports and participates in THRIVE, a multi-church ministry for ages 18-25. THRIVE meets on Thursday nights from 6-9pm at Harborview Fellowship. Click HERE to go to their website for address and more information.
One Saturday a month the men of WayPoint meet for breakfast and a time of encouragement. Bible Studies are frequently offered on Tuesday evenings. CLICK HERE to register for the current study. Call the church office for more information.

Using media to spread the gospel is a growing area of ministry in our church. We try to  use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. Each Sunday a team is needed to provide quality sound and media for our services. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website. Listen HERE.

Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church. Click HERE to sign up for the latest women’s Bible study.

GLOBAL MISSIONS At WayPoint Church we are passionate about sharing with others the hope and truth of Jesus Christ. While we want to reach our neighbors, we also want to impact the whole world. Jesus told his followers to “go into all the world and preach the good news”. That’s why we help support ten full-time mission workers from Alaska to Pakistan.

We have partnered with a number of organizations we have found to be faithful to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).

On occasion a small team from our church travels on a short term missions trip. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

At WayPoint Church we know the importance of sharing our needs with one another and praying together. In our fast-paced world we have found that email is a great way to quickly connect needs with people willing to pray for them.  Please use this FORM to share your prayer request with us.  Your requests will not be posted publicly on the internet, instead they will be sent via email to our prayer team. Please mark “confidential” if you would like your request to be sent to the pastors and elders only.

Members of our community and church join in prayer in our sanctuary every Monday morning between the hours of 5:30- and 8:00am. Find out more at
